Darren is a Senior Manager with Deloitte LLP, and has over 8 years of experience providing audit and assurance services to a variety of public, private and public sector clients. His experience also includes providing bookkeeping, accounting and taxation services to owner-operated companies and not-for-profit organizations during a 2 year period with a small, boutique accounting firm. In recent years, he has stepped out of the client service role at Deloitte, and into a technical advisory role focusing on risk compliance and securities regulation.
Outside of the Bay Street world, Darren is a very active curler (starting at the age of 8), spending the winter months playing in a number of social leagues and competitions. He is also the 2018 Canadian Gay Curling champion. When not on the curling ice, Darren is also the Vice President of the Riverdale Curling League which is the largest LGBTQ curling league in the country (with 56 teams), and the former Treasurer of the Royal Canadian Curling Club, which is one of the oldest curling clubs in downtown Toronto.
Darren obtained his Bachelor of Management & Organizational Studies from Western University and obtained is Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2012.
